  DiBcom is at the heart of mobile TV. As a fabless semiconductor company that designs high-performance chipsets, DiBcom enables low-power mobile and portable TV reception everywhere and at speeds exceeding 130 mph. The company’s solutions are used in automotive, PC/peripheral and handheld device applications. DiBcom has extensive experience solving real-world mobile digital terrestrial television (DTT) reception problems and has overcome the main technological barriers to high-quality service. The company has developed patented algorithms and architecture for fast and accurate channel estimation and high Doppler compensation. Its chipsets are compliant with the current worldwide Digital Video Broadcast standards DVB-T, DVB-H, T-DMB and ISDB-T.


The company was created in June 2000 by the founders and some employees. After three capital increases in 2001, 2002, and 2003 for a total amount of 16.2 M€, five new investors including Intel Capital and Partech International have joined the round in July 2005 with €24,5 million. In July 2007, DiBcom has announced the closing of its fifth round of financing at €20 million, bringing its total funding to date to €60 million. As part of the round, DiBcom has added a new financial partner, NATIXIS, which subscribed for 50%, with remaining funds coming from DiBcom's established global team of investors.



Today, the company has released its third generation DIB7000 chipsets, offering the best access to TV over DVB-T and DVB-H in mobile and portable environment such as Car, Laptops and Mobile phones. The company is selling to major customers in these different market segments.


The major shareholders of DiBcom are the founders' team, employees (shares and options), private investors, and twelve Venture Capital funds: Cipio Partners, Convergent Capital, Crédit Agricole Private Equity, Freescale Semiconductor, Intel Capital, Natixis, Partech International, SGAM Alternative Investments, Vertex Venture Capital (Israël), UMC, WI Harper, 3i.
