Data broadcasting is an important development area for DIBCOM products. As of today, Internet Protocol (IP) is becoming the worldwide de-facto standard for data exchange, one very important DVB specification concerned with the transmission of Internet Protocol over DVB transport streams serves as the basis for some integrated circuits which Dibcom is focusing on. As Dibcom is developing the core of reception devices, it is strategical for Dibcom to extend the capability of new circuits to not only receive the signal, but also extract IP datagrams, decrypt protected data using DES decryption, and provide new interfaces for PCs, PDAs, and laptops (e.g. USB, Serial, PCMCIA, etc.).
